Are you ready to contribute to the design of inspiring landscapes across the nation? Otak is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team of professionals based in Redmond, WA. In this role, you will lead the planning and design of diverse projects ranging from national, state and local parks to streetscapes, trails, natural area restoration, green infrastructure and site planning.
As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will leverage your experience to lead projects and pursuits, provide high quality client service, collaborate with engineers and architects, execute project design tasks, and produce quality construction documents in a team environment.

Our landscape architects lead projects for clients throughout the Puget Sound region as well as partnering with national organizations such as the National Park Service. Additionally, we collaborate with other Otak disciplines across the western United States, allowing us to provide comprehensive services to cater a broad client base.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and direct project teams while overseeing design and project development.
- Develop site plans, specifications, and cost estimates for site development and public space improvement projects.
- Support a variety of landscape architecture and planning tasks on engineering or architecturally led projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure design intent and conformance to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards.
- Mentor staff and review their work.
- Support and lead client services including proposal pursuits, project fee development and budget management.
- Create design graphics, maps, plans, and other illustrations to convey planning and design intent.
- Prepare and support presentations to client and the public of design concepts, drawings, 3D graphics, etc.
- Participate and lead public meetings and workshops as part of project development.
- Support the resolution of design solutions during the schematic design, design development and construction documents phases.
- Provide construction administration support and field installation oversight during construction.
What you bring:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
- Registered Professional in Landscape Architecture in the state of Washington required.
- Adept in all phases of site and landscape design in a multi-discipline environment.
- Familiarity with municipal, state, and federal clients for outdoor recreation, parks, trails, and transportation project types.
- Experience designing streetscapes, urban plazas, public spaces, and transit facilities preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite & AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketch-Up, and MS Office.
- Experience with LandFX, Twin Motion and MicroStation are a plus.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000 per year
