Job Description:
The primary role of the Cable Installation Technician is to install, troubleshoot, and repair cable systems. This involves working on-site at our customers' premises, ensuring connections are in place correctly, testing devices for proper functioning, and explaining features to customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Install cable systems by drilling holes, installing wiring, and connecting cables.
2. Troubleshoot system failures or malfunctions; perform necessary repairs promptly.
3. Test newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
4. Provide excellent customer service by explaining features of the product clearly.
5. Ensure all installation work complies with relevant laws and regulations.
6. Educate customers about safety practices related to their cable system.
7. Maintain accurate records regarding installations, service calls, and other work-related activities.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
2. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
3. Ability to carry out strenuous tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or climbing ladders
4. Familiarity with tools used in the installation process (e.g., pliers)
5. Clear communication skills both written and verbal
6. Valid driver's license
This position requires traveling frequently within assigned areas, so you must have reliable transportation.
