Teach NAS101D: Science Concepts - Life Sciences, a required course for students majoring in elementary education. This is a half-semester, lab-based course.
Responsibilities
Teach fundamental concepts and processes of life science course for students majoring in elementary education, focusing on the means by which science knowledge is produced through inquiry-based activities, which are an important, active-learning component in elementary school education Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline
Skills
Effective teaching and pedagogy practices Knowledge of 2019 MN State Science Standards preferred Experience with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) preferred Knowledge of A Framework for K-12 Science Education: Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Core Ideas preferred
Experience
Certification and K - 12 teaching experience preferred
