Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing system
- Ability to train to IPC-A-610.
- Ability to use lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, signal generators and signal analyzers to determine if test stations or test product is causing failures.
- Ability to read and understand schematics and debug non-functional product, supporting the manufacturing teams.
- Exposure and understanding of common programming languages and platforms. (C++, C#, Java, Perl, AutoIt, Python, Labview, and/or Visual Basic).
- Understanding of computer architecture, Windows OS and networking. Ability to install additional components and update drivers when necessary. Familiarity with Linux a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of test equipment communication protocols such as GPIB, RS-232, USB, I2C, SPI, etc.
- Component, board and system level debug and analysis skills will be utilized.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize based upon deadlines.
- Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Circuit analysis of analog, digital and RF circuits to aid test technicians for debug.
- Methodical troubleshooting skills for quickly determining test station failures.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent,
- 6+ years experience in a similar environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing test tools such as, Flying Probe, ICT, Boundary Scan, and functional test methodologies at both the board and system level.
- General knowledge of SMT and Box-Build manufacturing details and methodologies.
- Exposure to PCB layout principles and tools.
- Comfortable with CAD or PCB viewer tools.
- Understanding of common electronic manufacturing documentation a must.
- Effective use of common electronic manufacturing equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, PLD programmers, etc.
