Job Description:
This position assists with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of selected technical aspects of patient care under direct supervision of the Charge RN, Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or the Director, to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies as well as meeting the goals and mission of the department. Provides direct and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to aid meeting the patients’ needs as directed. Provides patients with activity opportunities appropriate to their ages and abilities and related to their plan for care, either individually and/or in group settings.
Education Qualifications:
Completion of six quarters or four semesters of college with emphasis in social services or 2 years experience working in a chemical dependency or mental health treatment program within 5 years of date of hire
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
In accordance with Minnesota Rules 9530.6450 Subpart 1-B; all employees must be free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems are defined as: Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements. Chemical use that has a negative impact on the staff member's job performance; Chemical use that affects the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community; and Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.
