UW Medical Center-Montlake - Operations & Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity to hire a FISCAL SPECIALIST 1.

WORK SCHEDULE
  • 40 hours per week, Day Shift

  • POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
  • Prepare reports, establish record-keeping/filing systems or database files, monitor financial records, and respond to inquiries regarding office/departmental policies and procedures
  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

  • PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Departmental payroll duties including verifying new employees are on payroll; verifying exception and premium hours; verifying accuracy of time sheets; distributing paychecks; processing Underpayment/Overpayment worksheets and forms; and maintaining documentation of all payroll records
  • Work order/requisition processing (enter work requests into system; distribute work requests per departmental guidelines); process labor reporting; process time cards (data entry; verifying accuracy and signatures)
  • Perform complex word processing, spreadsheet and database tasks such as merging and sorting, integrating text with graphics, spreadsheet and database files, uploading/downloading and creating footnotes and outlines
  • Prepare, complete, and coordinate reports and records such as financial, payroll, purchasing, inventory, personnel, scheduling, registration and testing; compose office correspondence such as transmittals and responses to frequent requests for information; update schedule; process department personnel required forms
  • Greet staff and visitors and refer them to the appropriate person within the office or facility; answer multi-line phones for Operations and Maintenance and direct calls to the appropriate person
  • Page supervisors when appropriate; respond to and prioritize emergency maintenance calls; follow up and respond to inquiries on work orders; work closely with all Medical Center departments, UW Facilities Services, vendors, and the general public

  • REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two years of experience providing administrative support in the area of fiscal and/or business management or equivalent education/experience
