We are currently interested in speaking to Transport Engineers / Planners (Assistant to Principal levels) that would be keen on joining our vibrant and reputable Reading and Oxford Transport team. Our Reading office is based at Caversham Bridge House, just a short walk from Reading Station and the Oxford office just a few minutes from the city centre. We have a large team of Transport Planners and Engineers that collaborate with a wide variety of disciplines to deliver effective solutions to our clients. You will have the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of our projects from inception to completion. You will play an important role in developing and influencing transport strategies, placemaking and sustainability. This will include preparing transport reports and getting involved in design and modelling of active travel, public transport and highway schemes. At more senior roles, project and financial management, mentoring and training members of the team will be an important part of your role.

About You
We are looking for people with the right skills and enthusiasm to build our team. Although not essential, you will typically be degree qualified in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or a related field, but all candidates with relevant experience and skills will be considered.
You will have experience and understanding of the planning system and experience in a mix of preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plan and technical documents, with a good knowledge of relevant design standards and Junction modelling / analysis and experience of relevant software packages, including Microsoft Excel, TRICS, TEMPRO and Junctions 10/LinSig depending on your grade and level of role.
Experience in project management, client liaison and business development are also required for more senior roles.
To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and enthusiastic team player but critically, you will have a passion for transport planning. Your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions is most crucial to your success in this role. You will be ambitious, forward thinking and have a desire to better your career.
