Principal Objective:
Trainer/Coach will support staff in their professional development, with a particular focus on leadership and management skills and supporting excellent supervisory practices. Will also contribute to the ongoing culture of learning and skill building that involves our strengths-based approaches, including Solution-Based Casework, as well as other skills, practices, and models, safety and risk, and other evidence-based or evidence-supported models being implemented at Graham Windham.
The Trainer/Coach works throughout Graham’s programs and sites, in various modalities, to support its leaders and teams: formal classroom trainings, small groups, and one-on-one meetings. To meet individuals’ and teams’ needs in the hybrid work environment, they travel to sites as needed as well as meet via Zoom. They collaborate closely within the L&PP team, while building and maintaining partnerships with the programs’ staff to cultivate an understanding of their emerging needs
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Develops and facilitates supportive platforms for supervisors, such as Network groups or types of peer support/discussion activities.
- Develops training curricula and interactive workshops specifically related to leadership and management skills in response to performance needs through partnership with program leadership.
- Implements and facilitates regular group and individual supervisory practice coaching sessions (including a standing schedule and by-request) toward proficient use of our supervisory framework and advancement of leadership aptitudes.
- Leads the implementation and facilitation of Graham’s “Supervisory Leadership Academy” and potentially other learning material (e.g. online asynchronous courses like “Graham U.”)
- Conducts trainings for newly hired and existing staff, which may include:
- Safety and Risk
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Mindful Practice and Undoing Implicit Bias
- Secondary Trauma and Wellness (Trauma Stewardship)
- LGBTQIA+ Affirming Services/Spaces
- Psychological Safety
- Model-Specific Training, such as:
