Position Summary
alphabroder is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead a combination of small and medium projects across all IT disciplines and business areas. This resource will work with internal resources and external vendors to define and manage project scope, budget, and timeline. Candidate will report to PMO Director and help evolve PMO best practices, templates, and procedures. This is a high visibility role and an opportunity to work for an established, dynamic organization and help define its technical future.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project lifecycle from conception to closeout:
- Establish project scope, budget, and timeline with input from business, IT, and external vendor(s)
- Define project goals and requirements in consensus with project team
- Implement strategies to deliver project on schedule and within budget
- Assist in development of work breakdown structure
- Organize and lead project team meetings to review progress and resolve issues
- Help craft solutions to complex business problems
- Work cross-functionally to identify and manage risks/dependencies throughout project
- Succinctly communicate status – verbal and written
- Foster and manage relationships with executive level project sponsors
- Coordinate business and QA resources in UAT/project signoff
- Share lessons learned with PMO and project team
- Manage multiple small to medium scale projects
- Work with PM Team to evolve PMO best practices, templates, and procedures
- Utilize experience and judgement to:
- Facilitate, plan, and accomplish project and business goals
- Address technical and project/process issues and inefficiencies
