Responsibilities
Applies Dignity Health Core Values to the performance of every job duty. These Values include Dignity Collaboration Justice Stewardship and Excellence. Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator the ORT assists the surgeon and the nurse in delivering care to the patient undergoing surgery.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have at least one year of recent experience as an ORT II (or equivalent) or be a recent graduate of an ORT II (or equivalent) training program (minimum one semester).
Must have American Heart Association BLS certification.
Certification as ORT/Surgical Technologist
Qualifications
Must have at least one year of recent experience as an ORT II (or equivalent) or be a recent graduate of an ORT II (or equivalent) training program (minimum one semester). 1-2 years of experience with a minimum of 1 year in area of related field Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training. Must be in good physical and mental health. Ability to maintain emotional control in times of stress and to continue to perform appropriately. Must have American Heart Association BLS certification.Certification as ORT/Surgical Technologist BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA CERTIFIED SURGERY TECH
