Job Description

 
12 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs Available 05/15/2024- 11/15/2024. Manually cultivate, & harvest vegetables & herbs including but not limited to: lettuce, beets, carrots, onions, corn, squash, greens & spinach. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include mulching, plastic removal, transplanting, weeding, thinning, and/or pruning crops. Set up & operate irrigation equipment. Harvest vegetables by hand. Harvesting, cleaning, grading and packing the vegetables grown on the farm. Work requires standing, sitting, kneeling and lifting up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis throughout the day. Employer will provide 3 days of training to allow workers to reach production standard. Workers are expected to pick a minimum of 6 boxes per hour of bunched carrots, beets, radishes & cilantro. While working in the field, all cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Requirements: * Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience * Employer will train- 3 days to allow workers to reach productivity standard. * Lifting requirement of 50 lbs. * Extensive sitting, extensive pushing/pulling, extensive walking, and frequent stooping * Repetitive movements * Exposure to extreme temperatures The full terms and conditions of the job (form ETA790a) should be reviewed and provided to qualified applicants from this website: seasonaljobs.dol.gov.
