Job Description:
TheAssistantNurseManagermaintains 24-hour accountability for the clinical and management functions as well as monitoring and evaluation activities pertinent to the operation of the hospital.
The position will require flexibility to coverNurseLeader Leave of Absences but will primarily have day/evening responsibilities.
- Emphasis is on the supervision of the staff who are providing direct patient care through the nursing process, in collaboration with theNurseManager.
- Thisposition is intended to assist in patient flow, daily inpatient operations, nursing supervision as well as bed management. Assurance that care is rendered to age-appropriate populations on each patient care unit is paramount.
- Responsible for maintaining established standards, managing and coordinating the care and services provided by ancillary and other professional personnel. R
- Responsible for maintaining ongoing collaborative and collegial relationships with medical staff, clinical and support departments.
- Demonstrates clinical skill and competence as necessary, provides needed resources and ensure high quality patient centric care.
Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Baccalaureate required in nursing or other related health care field. Master’s degree preferred Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of practice. Previous leadership experience is preferred Current Massachusetts license as RN Department certification as appropriate BCLS required
