Job Description:

  • Leading the Maintenance team and developing the maintenance skills of
    the team in alignment with company goals.
  • Improving preventative / predictive maintenance program to reduce
    unscheduled downtime.
  • Developing, implementing, and driving the utilization of the computerized
    maintenance management system within the business.
  • Developing critical spare parts program for all equipment on the site.
  • Maintaining existing plant facilities and equipment; replacing or adjusting
    plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Improving calibration program in compliance with ISO13485 requirements
  • Leading small facilities-based capital improvement projects under $25,000
    in scope. Establishes budget, schedule, and resource requirements to
    successfully complete the project
  • Working with the appropriate regulatory personnel (township, etc.) to
    ensure that proposed projects meet code requirements
  • Partnering with purchasing to develop and maintain an approved
    contractors list.
  • Overseeing facility-based service contractors (e.g., landscaping, snow
    removal suppliers, cleaning services, etc.).
  • Partnering with quality assurance and regulatory compliance teams to ensure
    audit ready especially around preventative maintenance and pest
    control requirements.
  • Utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques to drive improvements


    What do you bring?

    • Associates degree and at least 5 years of experience in Facilities and
      Maintenance Supervision OR equivalent combination of education and
      experience should be combined with a demonstrated track-record of
      accomplishments in manufacturing/maintenance leadership, and satisfying
      customers in a high mix / low volume manufacturing company.
    • Demonstrated safety mindset and practice.
    • Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and EPA regulations.
    • Familiarity with machine guarding, interlocks, rigging, anchoring, and safely moving
      industrial equipment.
    • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation controls, and
      HVAC systems.
    • Experience with preventative maintenance and calibration systems.
    • Ability to lead root cause investigations.
    • Familiarity with other shop operations; welding, soldering, light machining, sheet
      metal fabrication, fasteners.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and have a general understanding of business
      operating systems.
      Preferred:
    • Experience in the medical device industry.
    • Experience with ISO 13485.
    • Experience with CMMS.
    • Lean Certification
