Job Description:
The Satellite Senior Dining Coordinator is responsible for overall site management to provide dining service and nutrition services at an assigned Catholic Charities Senior Dining location(s) including the rural areas.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Management: Effectively manage the Senior Dining location following the Senior Dining policies and procedures; Register & engage with the diners; ensure a pleasant & congenial environment at the site as necessary, provide information about and direct clients to additional services that would be helpful to them.     

Recordkeeping: maintain activity roster of meals served; complete documentation for Insurance/Waiver meals & ensure have received authorization from county/insurance companies sources for meals; record diner contributions & deposit funds;  order supplies (other than food); submit weekly reports to SD Admin office.  

Volunteer Coordination: Coordinate, arrange, manage, and maintain volunteer services for the Senior Dining Program.

Social and Wellness Activities: Arrange social and health and wellness activities for the program & communicate regularly to Diners.     

Marketing/Outreach: Promote Senior Dining in the community through a variety of media and communication outlets, including attending local service/govt. events/meetings; representing SD at Senior Expo’s, county fairs, etc. 

Meals on Wheels: Manage and assess the Meals on Wheels Program; conduct annual in-home assessment of clients to determine eligibility for program; refer these diners to other community services as appropriate. 

Food Service: set-up the meal service for the on-site diners, ensuring all food temperature requirements are met; and all additional food items at the site are tracked and/or sent back to the meal preparation site.
