Aerotek Hydraulic Technician in Plymouth, Minnesota

Hydraulic Technician / Machine Builder

Day Shift - $25-$35/HR

Description:

Fluid Power Technician - assemble custom mechanical systems. Mount / plumb hydraulic components and mount / wire electrical components.

Essential Job Functions / Primary Responsibilities:

• Read and understand bill of materials

• Able to systematically start-up, test, run-off equipment / systems on production floor

• Able to set pressures, flows, troubleshoot during start-up

• Understand the mechanics of the machines being worked on

• Set up, adjust, and operate all basic equipment

• Monitor and correct operation of basic equipment

• Verify and document that the equipment meets all the technical requirements of the project

• Perform Factory Acceptance Tests

• Provide systematic commissioning of the equipment at the customer site.

• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic system

• Work on-site in a safe manner, following customer’s safety procedures

• Operating heavy equipment, such as industrial saws, cranes, forklift

• Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics

Other Responsibilities:

• Complete other projects and/or task as assigned to support business needs

• Awareness of Company’s Mission, Vision and Values

• Awareness of Company’s Quality Policy and how it pertains to your job

• Contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system, including the benefits of improved performance

• Knowledge of the implications of not conforming with the quality management system requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

At least 2 years' experience with hydraulic systems, electrical controls – inputs / outputs, PLC controls, PLC programming, and mechanical equipment
