Job Description

 
5 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 04/01/2024- 12/15/2024. The Farmworker will perform a combination of the following duties in connection with growing a variety of vegetables and flowers. Vegetables include: Greens, baby greens, mesclun greens, braising greens, mustard greens, chard, spinach, kale, tomatoes, zucchini, peppers, beets, carrots, fennel, green beans, sweet peas, eggplants, turnips, winter squash, culinary herbs. Flowers include: Peonies, dahlias, cosmos and larkspur. Participate in all aspects of crop production including soil preparation, greenhouse seeding, transplanting, cultivation, weeding, pruning, watering, harvesting, washing and marketing. Harvest full-grown crops requiring digging, picking, loading, lifting. Load and transport harvested crops to market. Operate and maintain tractors and a variety of implements and trucks. Hours may vary based on weather and crop conditions. Requirements: * Must have 1 months verifiable experience in the aforementioned. * Must lift 50 pounds * Exposure to extreme temperatures * Extensive pushing/pulling * Frequent stooping and bending and repetitive movements. * 42.5 Hours/week. Additional hours and Sat work required as necessary based on weather and crop progression.
