Your opportunity:
As an Electrical Procurement Engineer I/II or Sr. for the Greenheck Group you will be exposed to a diverse set of tasks associated with electrical procurement, embedded hardware design including technical analysis for PCB layout, troubleshooting, product requirements, design alternatives, cost analysis, supplier evaluation and selection while managing product quality. This is a remote based role.
What you'll be doing:
Serve as an electronics technical resource for Greenheck's Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments.
Aid in the location, qualification, and approval of new suppliers.
Works to ensure integration between engineering and procurement on new products and changes in purchased component design.
Utilize Design for Excellence (DFX) tools during new product redesigns and value engineering projects to create cost effective, manufacturable designs.
Communicate critical and significant attributes to suppliers in collaboration with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality.
Prepare and document, in conjunction with the business units, critical processes to be ISO capable and creates Material Specifications for critical items.
Analyze quality trends (field problems, CARS, supplier quality, etc.) and implements corrective action steps.
Work closely with overseas and domestic suppliers to resolve quality deficiencies, determine inspection procedures and develop product specifications.
Provides expertise in qualifying and managing contract manufacturers of PCB assemblies.
Leads supplier validation and quoting efforts for electrical components spanning the entire PCB assembly, ranging from integrated circuits to discrete and custom components.
Works with supply chain partners and engineering to identify value engineering opportunities and component substitutions.

What you should have:
Work requires a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four-year college program.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
A minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in electrical design, engineering or electrical procurement is required.
Excellent communication and analytical skills are also required.
Familiarity with Project Management and the Supplier Quality process is helpful.
