The Business Development Manager will be pivotal in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, selling our value proposition, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and closing deals to achieve our growth objectives. This candidate must reside in Atlanta, GA and will be required to travel within the Southeast region.


Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for growing current relationships, identifying and cultivating new relationships, and ultimately closing deals. The Business Development Manager does this by:

  • Own the business development process, including networking, lead generation and qualification, relationship building, pitching, and deal conversion
  • Analyze channel market data and insights to inform business development strategies
  • Identify trends and competitive landscapes to identify potential growth areas
  • Develop and execute channel lead generation strategies, including targeted outreach campaigns, webinars, events, and marketing campaigns to engage with potential connectors
  • Ensure strong relationships are maintained by nurturing established relationships, ensuring a “top of mind” approach is achieved
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing to support the creation of compelling content, email campaigns, and webinars
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including marketing expansions, new product offerings, and strategic acquisitions
  • Craft and present compelling pitch decks and proposals to potential clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of our full range of services 
  • Track and report on budget utilization
  • Proactively identify and attend events, conferences, meetings, etc., that align with our GTM strategy

  • You have a proven track record in the full-cycle business development process, including networking, relationship building, lead discovery, qualification, pitching, and closing.

  • You have an existing network which can be leveraged
  • You are dynamic and results-driven
  • You thrive on building deep relationships that create value and finding ways to serve others. You are empathetic and can influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building 
  • You masterfully navigate all communications in person or via the written word. You can also speak business with solid business acumen to overcome objections effectively. 
  • You are driven to exceed company, team, and individual goals and influence others to do the same. 
  • You are self-directed with a strong work ethic. You are agile and can pivot quickly. You can effectively prioritize and have impeccable follow-through
  • You are highly accustomed to utilizing CRM platforms to ensure data capture and accuracy 


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 7 years of business development and/or sales experience
  • A solid understanding of the accounting and finance industry is needed; experience in professional services consulting management is preferred
  • Experience with Hubspot and Salesforce platforms a plus

Physical Demands & Travel Requirements
  • Atlanta residency is required ***
  • In-person interaction with connectors, prospects, and team is essential; estimated travel time may be up to 25% (travel time includes attendance at conferences, events, prospect meetings, and client engagements). Outside of in-person engagements, the position will be remote - work from home. 

Compensation
  • Base salary range $75,000-$100,000, plus a quarterly commission program and annual bonus (estimated On Target Earning Range: $100,000-$175,000) 
  • Benefits: PTO, medical, dental, vision, HSA match (depending on plan), 401k, cell phone stipend
