15 Full Time Seasonal H-2A Jobs available 3/11/2024 - 11/16/2024. Duties: Harvesting: Using shovels or machinery, dig shrubs or trees and place them in burlap and or wire baskets for shipment. Sew or tie burlap and or wire baskets. Tie plants with string or rope for shipment. Cultivating: Cultivate container and field crops either by hand, by machine, or by using hand tools such as hoes, shovels, or rakes. Loading: Load and unload nursery stock and agricultural supplies into or onto trucks and trailers. This work may be done by hand or with equipment such as forklifts, pay loaders, conveyor belts, etc. Using pick slips, select plants for orders and bring those plants to a staging area or loading dock. Fertilizing: Under supervision, fertilize trees, shrubs, containerized nursery stock, or greenhouse plants. Chemical Application: Under supervision, and while adhering to all laws and safety procedures, spray or apply herbicides and or pesticides on or around trees, shrubs, or containerized nursery stock. Trimming: Using shears, knives, or trimming machines, prune or trim trees, shrubs or containerized nursery stock. Use string trimmers to trim grass and low weeds. Weeding: Remove weeds in and around containerized nursery stock and field grown nursery stock either by hand or with tools. Cut grass and weeds with mowing equipment. Labeling: Label or tag trees, shrubs, or containerized nursery stock. Propagation: Propagate by cuttings, grafts, seed, or other methods, trees, shrubs, or containerized nursery stock. Planting: Plant nursery stock into pots or into the ground. Potting: Shift, by hand or using machinery, containerized nursery stock into larger pots or buckets.
