The Senior Software Engineer will be part of an integrated NPD Operations & Sustainment team providing engineering support to our customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for engineering, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
Responsible for ensuring issues or potential impacts are identified and resolved, minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
Provide problem information to Site Lead and Key Management Personnel.
Submit PR’s for problems on-site and keep all informed of status.
Troubleshoot and support through visual inspection and user interaction.
Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues.
Approve timesheets.
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of equivalent work experience.
Relevant work experience to include:
- Experience with JAVA.
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Security+ certification.
TS/SCI clearance required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience with JAVA.
Experience in researching, evaluating, and identifying issues and common patterns.
Experience with identifying opportunities for improvements, making recommendations, and designing and implementing systems using JAVA.
Experience with maintenance and improvements to existing code as needed.
Experience with the NGA’s configuration management and Request for Change (RFC) process for review and impact assessment.
Understanding of developing web based systems from dynamic results for a relational database.
Capability and the ability to adapt effectively to changes or requirements.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated.
Ability to travel as required.
