Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm



OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will use your technical knowledge and leadership abilities to direct the work of a team of Manufacturing Engineers. The Engineers are focused on support of manufacturing production, operations, and sales. In addition to leading the team, there is ample opportunity for using your knowledge and skills to work directly with Manufacturing leadership on continuous improvement, manufacturing processes, and capability enhancement.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Providing exceptional technical support to each manufacturing facility

o Communication and collaboration with manufacturing and operations leaders

o Recruiting, training, and leading a high performing team of Manufacturing Engineers

o Developing training and presentation materials highlighting investments and improvements

o Establishing individual and team goals and monitoring progress towards them



REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful

completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

o Possess 3 years of work experience at Fastenal, including at least 2 years in an engineering position

o Possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field of study OR have two years of fastener engineering work experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Comfortable making high-level, group sales and product presentations

o Willingness to travel up to 50% with some overnights required

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
