Overview
The Research Data Specialists (RDS) will support the Thoracic Oncology Florez Lab clinical research program in the areas of data collection, computing, and database organization. Duties include the examination, synthesis, and evaluation of medical records; the abstraction and recording of pertinent medical information; and the monitoring of patient status. The Clinical Data Specialist will be responsible for the collection, management, and quality assurance review of patient clinical data. The Research Data Specialist in this role will support the ctDNA/EQUAL Study, focusing on the development and pilot testing of a novel plasma circulating free DNA (cfDNA) screening assay to diagnosed EGFR positive lung cancer in patients that do not qualify for routine lung cancer screening. The study seeks to evaluate the feasibility of this screening test for non-tobacco-using East Asian and Hispanic/Latinx populations at risk for lung cancer. Individuals who are bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or Mandarin is preferred but not required.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or 1 year of Dana-Farber Associate Research Data Specialist experience required.
0-1 years’ experience working in a medical or scientific research setting or comparable technology orientated business environment preferred.
