Elma, NY. Steuben Foods. Utilities Technician Grade 1. FT. Benefits. $18.85/Hour. Education/Prerequisite Requirements: Associates Degree in one of the Engineering disciplines or equivalent related fields or life work experience equivalence and/or Completing the Apprentice Program. 1-3 years maintenance mechanic experience in a related field. Must possess a general mechanical aptitude and ability to learn on a technical level. Must be able to attend training courses to obtain Stationary Engineers Boiler license OR Must be able to attend refrigeration courses sanctioned by RETA, to obtain refrigeration operators license. Equipment/Training Knowledge: 1 year of experience with either compressed air systems, steam generation, boiler systems, HVAC, ammonia refrigeration and PSM. 1 year experience with either fire prevention systems or life safety monitoring systems. Attend one Course in Stationary Engineering Boiler OR Attend Beginning Courses in Ammonia certification. Successfully entering and logging Work Orders and Work Order time. Work Order Completion >75%. Responsibilities: Adhere to all Company Safety programs including, but not limited to: LOTO, Confined Space, PSMetc. are adhered to within the department. Plant Utilities repairs, PM and trouble-shooting. Successful completion of training program assigned. Successful training in shift rounds, daily checks and daily inspections.
