We are seeking a Principle New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager to help us fuel AWS’ explosive growth. You will be responsible for successful enablement of new products into the channel of rack manufacturers. The PM will be the one driving phase gate reviews and defining the criteria working with various stakeholders for arriving at agreed set of NPI metrics ranging from design for manufacturing, assembly, test and supply chain. You will introduce industry best practices and innovative manufacturing know-how that will enhance roadmap and accelerate new product deployment. The right individual will partner cross functionally with hardware engineering, suppliers, design, quality, contract manufacturers, and volume production teams during solution development lifecycle into full production. Possessing strong leadership, influencing skills, and technical depth are critical elements of success for this role. This leader will establish manufacturing standards and publish process control guidelines to assure flawless ramp into volume manufacturing.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead teams to enhance process and drive technology evolution to volume production
- Introduce world class solutions that meet and exceed business expectations, and set targets
- Be the single threaded leader for NPI process overseeing end to end CM enablement, phase gate reviews, metrics and lessons learned. Root cause failures and implement solutions.
- Own manufacturing process qualification, documentation, and supplier ramp approvals
- Partner with Test Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Capacity Planning, Materials Managers, and Manufacturing Leaders to risk mitigate new technology deployment from design partner handoff to full production
- Provide data driven strategy to identify and manage user experience risk.
- Present timely, concise reports advising manufacturing process readiness to stakeholders
- Participate in design of new features through DFM, roadmap development, phase gate reviews, loopback for feedback reviews, supply chain readiness (BOM), ramp volume and and material supportability
- Develop plans and deploy strategy to bring up multiple global suppliers in parallel
- Create mechanisms to ensure details of the business are understood, managed, and improved upon.
- Excellent communications skills with an ability to convey strategic direction to all levels within the organization and senior leadership

About the team
Success in the role will be measured by the Principle NPI Program Managers ability to deliver end to end new product solutions into the manufacturing channel against a defined set of KPIs. Measure/improve supplier performance while driving a continuous improvement strategy to simplify and shorten the life cycle of each of these tasks. Very comfortable owning the business and presenting and interacting with Internal and External Senior Management; ability to build trust! This role reports directly into AIC’s Head of Commercial Management Team. Some travel required in this role including both domestic and a small number of international trips.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- 5+ years of presenting defect data, metrics, supplier quality, improvement initiatives and status to top leadership
- 10+ years experience using data to find root cause, develop solutions and implement process improvement plans
- 4+ years as operation technical focal point collaborating cross functionally with support teams such as finance, engineering, supply chain, quality.
- 6+ years of product or program management, business development or technology management experience
- 7+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with global partners
- Implementation of NPI phase gates, managing to NPI KPIs and managing processes using post implementation reviews and change management.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
