The Position
Under the direction of a District administrator, responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating various activities related to the assigned functions.
Major Responsibilities
TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
Plan, schedule and coordinate various activities related to assigned functions.
Serve as a resource to District staff and members of the public to research and resolve issues.
Serve as the liaison with Board Members, District legal counsel, and District administrators and respond to queries and requests for information.
Assist with the establishment and implementation of policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports.
Promote the District by participating in community events or meetings and by developing partnerships with businesses and other public organizations.
Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural or policy changes to improve operations.
Develop short- and long-range plans for increasing efficiency through the use of technology and human
resources.
Perform a variety of special projects affecting District staff, programs and activities.
Qualifications
REQUISITE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES INCLUDE:

Knowledge of organization, operations, policies, terminology, programs and objectives of higher level educational institutions; English usage; grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary; oral and written communications skills; and technical aspects of field of specialty. Ability to serve as a resource to District staff to research and resolve problems; serve as the liaison with Board Members, District legal counsel, and District administrators and respond to queries and requests; report information in person or by telephone where judgment, specific knowledge and interpretation of policies and regulations may be necessary; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Experience working with community college faculty in a multicultural community.
