Job Description

A large reinsurance client is looking for a Storage Administrator to sit fully remote in EST. This Storage Administrator will be responsible for monitoring the health of the storage arrays that support billions of dollars of revenue for the company. On the day to day, this administrator will monitor the array, looking for hotspot disks to reclaim, and tuning performances from HPE. They will also assist with back up and recovery using Rubrik. Once a quarter, HPE and other array manufacturers release patches for updates that this administrator will be responsible for operating these updates for SAN devices, FC switches, and backup devices. This Storage Administrator needs to have amazing communication skills with a strong sense of urgency.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience as a Storage Administrator

Experience using Brocade SAN Navigator in a Brocade FC switch environment.

Monitors, maintains and implements performance tuning storage arrays from HPE

3Par, Primera, Nimble, MSA, StoreOnce

Proficient in Microsoft File servers

DFS, Patch Management, File Restores

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

HPE certifications or other relevant storage technology certifications

Experience working with Rubrik for backup and recovery management
