Job Summary | The focus of our research is on neurologic autonomic disorders, with particular interest in those that are considered to be “dysautonomias” – a poorly understood category of autonomic neurological dysfunction where disease expression is presumed to be circuit-based, rather than neurodegenerative. We are currently looking to hire one full-time research analyst to assist with NIH- and foundation-funded studies aimed at discovering biomarkers of disease; an ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and experience with data management and/or statistical software. Research assistants will work under the mentorship of Dr. Cortez in the Department of Neurology, alongside a dynamic team of other study team members. This position is particularly well suited for early-career individuals on a career path toward Research Analyst or Research Coordinator positions, and/or individuals seeking to gain research with clinical and/or physiology related experience prior to graduate or medical school. Provides project related, technical and data support for study protocols, data collection, equipment setup/maintenance, and support of human participant related procedures. Gathers and organizes data, literature searches, medical record reviews and related non-lab methods for use in studies, publications and other research-related uses. Other duties as required. |
