JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Create, refine and edit Laser programs for equipment utilized in the development and production of machined and fabricated parts. * Develop and refine Laser programs and support tooling for machined and fabricated parts utilizing Unigraphics, Solidworks, CAD and other potential applicable required software * Ability to set up and operate Lasers. * Read and interpret blueprint, planning sheets, sketches, models and related technical data to determine tool requirements, set-up procedures, control setups, and manage the required Lab approvals for all Materials. * Work with and participate in cross functional teams for continuous improvement, new or revised product launches, and transformation to lean manufacturing projects. * Work with fixture design and potential implementation of design. * Make and incorporate suggestions for changes in dies, fixtures or materials used per documented procedures. * Train and teach operators within the department. * Maintain records and revisions for all programs. * Maintain housekeeping at and around department. * Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant. * Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area. * Follow all quality systems and Standard Operating Procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix. * Follow all rules and regulations, including safety rules. * Perform any other duties deemed necessary and agreed upon by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma/GED * College degree in related field preferred. * Demonstrated experience writing Laser programs. * Ability to comprehend blueprints, sketches, diagrams and written or verbal instructions. * Technical skills in manufacturing processes and method including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment. * Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills. * Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills. * Effective communication skills and human relations skills. * Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. * Ability to work well in a team environment.
