PR Manager
Position Overview
The PR Manager will be responsible for executing public relations strategies that enhance the brand's reputation and visibility. This role involves managing media relations, crafting press releases, and collaborating with marketing teams to support overall brand objectives in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.
You'll work 35 hours per week, with 3 onsite days in the client's NYC office (Tuesday through Thursday).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to promote the brand.
- Manage relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure coverage for the brand.
- Write and distribute press releases, ensuring they align with the brand's messaging.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate PR efforts with broader marketing campaigns.
- Monitor media coverage and analyze PR effectiveness, providing reports to senior management.
- Organize press events and product launches to enhance brand visibility.
- Respond to media inquiries and manage crisis communications when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in public relations or marketing, preferably in the CPG industry.
- Strong writing skills with a proven track record in crafting effective press releases.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with media professionals.
- Proficiency in media monitoring tools and PR software (Cision and Muck Rack, preferred).
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
