The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Lingo Division. Meet Lingo, a new biosensing technology that provides users a window into their body. Lingo tracks key biomarkers – such as glucose, ketones, and lactate – to help people make better decisions about their health and nutrition. Biowearable technology will digitize, decentralize, and democratize healthcare, enabling consumers to take control of their own health. The Senior Editorial and Content Manager leads the strategic development of the content and storytelling that brings our products to life and elevates the Lingo brand. The Senior Editorial and Content Manager is responsible for the overall strategy and editorial content calendar and oversees internal and external creators to deliver a high volume of in a relevant and impactful content across owned and paid channels. The Senior Editorial and Content Manager collaborates directly with content creators, writers, art directors, external production partners, and cross-functionally with our Marketing, Medical Affairs and Product teams to deliver on-time, on-strategy, and on-budget solutions for all assigned projects.

What You’ll Work On

  • Develop and own the overall strategy for storytelling and content for Lingo, partnering closely with our Medical Affairs team to shape our POV on glucose, science, and nutrition.
  • Oversee a small but mighty team of content strategists and creators (internal editorial team and agency), ensuring high quality of work.
  • Manage an integrated content approach to ensure efficient and impactful content is leveraged across channels, including video, social, email, website, and beyond. 
  • Provide editorial direction to ensure all content is on-brand, audience-centric, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone, and optimized for search and discovery.
  • Find creative ways to tell shareable, accessible stories that educate people on the science of glucose and how Lingo can help with health and wellness goals.  
  • Manage and own a master editorial content calendar, partnering with key channel owners on strategy and planning to set them up for success.
  • Set measurable KPIs and optimize resources against them, while managing an annual budget.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends within digital and social media publishing, content distribution and search.
  • Set vision and lead its implementation by influencing, coordinating and communicating across multiple levels and functions.
  • Take into account global strategy and local culture.
  • Instill creativity in storytelling and packaging audience-relevant and channel appropriate content.
  • Maintain a 'test, learn and refine’ mentality: a deep and broad curiosity about what’s happening in the social/digital world and desire to be on the leading edge.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience related to this function

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years combined agency and in-house experience as an editorial content manager or relevant role
  • A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates a proven track record of powerful storytelling and development of successful market-moving creative ideas
  • Motivational team-focused leader who values real collaboration and rewards it, and results and ROI oriented
  • Fearlessly creative and relentlessly attentive to detail
  • A collaborative, empathetic leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of tech, ability to work with creatives, marketers and engineers alike. Familiarity with the Healthtech industry is a plus
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced digital and social environment
  • Deep content marketing expertise with experience across the publishing continuum
  • Hands-on, with excellent time management and ability to organize and operate multi-faceted programs
  • Experience in Figma, Microsoft Office, and program management tools

The base pay for this position is $128,000.00 – $256,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
