Team Lead – Channel Sales

The Team Lead – Channel Led Sales, will interact with all levels of Allegion employees and customers while providing direction to the Channel Sales team and driving revenue opportunities. This position will be a player/coach with responsibilities for leading the Channel Commercial sales team as well as calling on Channel Accounts. The Team Lead must ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty to the full product portfolio of Allegion security products and services while directing the strategy around pursuing and gaining new Channel Led customers in all vertical markets.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with Channel Sales Manager to create, implement, and execute annual business plan.

  • Lead the Channel Led sales team in accomplishing revenue, strategy, and expense goals.

  • Utilize sales and management background/experience to mentor, coach and develop Channel sales consultants.

  • Responsible for performance management, talent review, employee development, talent acquisition and employee engagement.

  • Implement and manage discretionary sales opportunities with Channel Sales Team.

  • Drive Channel sales team’s use of CRM software to generate, pursue and track sales opportunities and activities.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and Allegion team.

  • Maintain excellent industry/territory knowledge by gathering market data of competitive activity.

  • Provide comprehensive reports to Channel Sales Manager and Regional Director as required leveraging PowerBI and other digital tools.

  • Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.

  • Continuous communication with team to ensure employee engagement in business initiatives, strategy, and overall direction. Host (and present at) team meetings on a continuous basis.

  • Participate in internal product and program deployment teams.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Technical field preferred

  • 3+ years Channel Sales experience and demonstrated leadership experience preferred

  • Ability to travel 25%

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility integration

  • Basic understanding of electricity and electronic components

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience influencing others with a bias for action

  • Strong customer focus and industry specific experience

  • Must currently reside within the Minnesota territory
