This position will provide contract administration/direct engineering supervision on bridge/highway construction projects to ensure compliance with contract provision and MnDOT policies. Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Engineer Senior:
To qualify for Engineer Senior, applicants must meet all the following:
· Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). (If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.)
Minimum Qualifications for Engineer 2 Graduate:
To qualify for Engineer 2 Graduate, applicants must meet all the following:
· A bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or its equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC.
· A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
· Two years post-graduation civil engineering work.
OR
· A Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or it’s equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC AND
· A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
· One (1) year of post-graduate civil engineering work.
OR
· Received a passing score on the Minnesota Principals & Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.
Preferred Qualifications
· Knowledge and application of all phases of construction including surveying, material testing, earthwork, bridges, safety, and traffic control, etc.
· Experience preparing cost estimates for all items required to implement supplemental agreements.
· Knowledge of soils engineering principles, highway drainage engineering principles, and traffic engineering principles.
· Knowledge and experience with MnDOT policies, procedures and state and federal OSHA rules and regulations.
