We seek a highly skilled Physical Security Program Coordinator to join our US Open security team. This role will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of security programs to ensure the safety and security of players, fans, partners, and staff. 

 

Start Date: June 1, 2024

End Date: September 8, 2024

Must be available 5 days per week, 

7 days per week during the US Open (August 26th - September 8th)

The Role

  • Assist the Director of US Open Security with the implementation of security programs and policies in accordance with industry standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with security vendor(s) leading up to the tournament to create deployment maps, and verify post coverage at all times during the tournament
  • Work with the Director of Security to ensure the implementation and maintenance of security processes
  • Assist in the delivery of security training programs for employees to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with external security agencies and law enforcement as needed
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for security enhancements
  • At the direction of the Director of US Open Security, perform additional duties as assigned
  • The position is a seasonal, on-site, position with an expected start date in June 2024 through the end of October 2024

Who You Are

  • Minimum Associate’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in the security field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, industry standards, and best practices for physical security measures
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response plans
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • This position is considered to be onsite
  • This position is non-exempt prior to the tournament and exempt during the tournament
