Description

Job Title: Wastewater/CIP Technician


Our company is seeking a skilled Wastewater/CIP Technician to join our team. As a Wastewater/CIP Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our wastewater treatment system and cleaning in place (CIP) systems. 


Responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment system and CIP systems

- Monitor and adjust chemical treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations

- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed

- Maintain accurate records of system operations and maintenance activities

- Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols

- Assist with other tasks as needed


Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 2+ years of experience in wastewater treatment or related field

- Knowledge of chemical treatment processes and equipment

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed

Requirements

This individual is responsible for carrying out all operations that can include but not limited to ensuring the master sanitation program is completed in a timely manner, set up and breakdown of CIP systems, chemical storage and labeling, and making sure all safety policies are followed. .The ideal candidate must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus), able to push/pull/lift and carry, able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, and movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).

  

Electrical and mechanical repair on production and utility equipment, ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals and written instructions are required. Must acquire within 6 months, and maintain, a Dairy Wastewater II Operator Certification. Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) are preferred. 


  

SQF REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain food safety and food  quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a      sanitary manner.
  • Required to wear food  safety/sanitation clothing.
  • This position necessitates  conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

  Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to decipher formulas.


Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.


We have two shifts available: 6pm to 6am      or     6am to 6pm
