Overview We have a newly created opportunity for an IT Supervisor, Data
Governance to join our organization as a key member of our Corporate IT
team. The IT Supervisor, Data Governance will have the primary
responsibility of overseeing data governance initiatives and practices
for data across various systems relevant to Komatsu North America Region
and Global Mining. The individual in this position will have experience
in designing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and
procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of our
organization\'s data assets. This individual will collaborate closely
with cross-functional IT and business teams, senior management, and
external stakeholders to establish and implement data governance best
practices, drive compliance, and promote a data-driven culture within
the organization. Additionally, this individual will provide leadership,
guidance, and support for data governance activities within the data
team for Komatsu Corporate IT. Key Job Responsibilities Develop and
implement a comprehensive data governance framework, including policies,
standards, and procedures, to ensure the quality, consistency, and
security of organizational data. Lead data governance initiatives,
working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and define data
governance requirements, roles, and responsibilities. Establish data
governance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor data
quality, compliance, and adherence to data governance standards. Provide
guidance and support in data classification, data ownership, data
lineage, and data lifecycle management to ensure data governance best
practices are followed. Collaborate with senior management to develop
and deliver data governance training programs and awareness campaigns to
promote data literacy and foster a data-driven culture within the
