High School Diploma required.
· Medical Administrative Assistant certification preferred.
· One to two years’ experience in a medical office setting.
· Knowledge of medical terminology required.
· Basic keyboarding skills with proficiency in use of personal computer programs.
· Knowledge of medical coding preferred (i.e., CPT and ICD coding).
· Epic experience preferred.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
· Proven ability to work effectively in a team.
· Strong working knowledge of insurance requirements.
