We’re looking for an intellectually curious and enthusiastic health research specialist who is eager to learn and grow quickly in a temporary position within our Deloitte Center for Government Insights (DCGI) team. The Deloitte Center for Government Insights produces groundbreaking research to help government solve its most complex problems. Through forums and immersive workshops, we engage with public officials on a journey of positive transformation, crystallizing insights to help them understand trends, overcome constraints, and expand the limits of what is possible. Work You’ll Do
As a summer intern, you’ll participate in trainings, networking events, and community activities to enhance your internship experience. During your internship you’ll:
- Be assigned a maximum of 40 hours per week workload within the Center for Government Insights’ health research portfolio on a temporary basis
- Work closely with our research team on literature reviews and background research, qualitative and quantitative data collection (project-dependent), analysis and synthesis of multiple data sources to identify key themes and gaps, and developing research reports.
- Learn our thought leadership deployment protocols including orchestrating external speaking events at conferences like APHA, sponsorships, and internal conferences related to key industry clients.
- Use your exceptional organizational skills to help manage timelines and work with diverse groups of professionals across the Deloitte organization (e.g., data scientists, consultants).
Qualifications
Required:

Provide a writing sample of a policy or research paper that you authored on a topic of your choice. Attach as a PDF to your application. Maximum 3,000 words.
- Candidate for a Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, or related field
- 1-2 years’ experience in a professional capacity, emphasizing development/management skills in the following general areas: communication, documentation, learning, and general business analysis
- Demonstrated research experience in public health, health policy, health care and/or life sciences
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet research tools (PubMed, Google Scholar)
- Solid understanding of US health care system
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and industries/sectors you serve
- Availability to participate full-time in an 8 – 10 week internship approx. June to August 2025

This role does not convert into a full-time position.
