Job Summary:  Tillamook Bay Community College is looking for a full time, permanent, Senior Accountant This position maintains and analyzes financial information, prepares and presents financial reports, and maintains fiscal stability of TBCC. This position designs, administers, and manages systems for a wide range of budget-related programs, grants, contracts, and regulatory activities. The Senior Accountant interacts effectively with customers and vendors to gather needed information, resolve differences, and completes work on schedule.

Financial Accounting
' Prepare monthly financial reports and statements following documented process.
' Generate monthly reports including A/R and A/P reconciliation and others as needed.
' Create and maintain a series of financial controls and procedures.
' Maintains corporate checking accounts and invoices.
' Conduct periodic audits of budget items and compare budget-to-actuals.
' Prepare annual tax filings such as W-2, 1098s, 1099s etc.
' Maintain required accounting ledgers.
' Create journal entries to adjust the general ledger.
' Responsible for all financial procedures and records.
' Perform other related duties as requested by the CFO.

Grants and Contracts
' Create new award or contract budgets and GL accounts in accounting software.
' Follow documented processes for the preparation of financial reports and approval of expenditures required for various grants and contracts.
' Monitor the posting of expenditures and receipts to grant funds and contracts.
' Prepare a schedule of financial reports, with due dates, for various grants and contracts to follow to meet deadlines.
' Maintain documentation of financial reports and other records required to meet retention requirements.
' Implement system to follow up on status of reports after submission.
' Respond promptly to requests for additional information from external agencies or internal customers.
' Coordinate with internal grant managers to develop budgets and accounts.
' Prepare and/or provide data as needed during the annual audit.

Salary:   $58,310.00 to $83,137.00 per Year Depending on Experience, Depending on Qualifications
