Environmental Services - Housekeeping - Day Shift - Full-Time
Summary
Under the direction of the Administrator / Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor:
- Follows safe and efficient cleaning procedures to ensure all areas of the care center are maintained according to regulatory and infection control standards
- Safely and appropriately prepares, uses, stores, labels, and disposes of commercial cleaning products / chemicals and supplies
- Utilizes and maintains all commercial cleaning equipment properly and safely, following the operating manual instructions per manufacturer guidelines
- Interacts with team members, residents / tenants in a positive manner, accommodating daily schedules as possible
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by the Administrator / Housekeeping Supervisor or Housekeeping / Laundry Supervisor
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
- Must have knowledge and understanding of healthcare standards related to cleanliness, sanitation, disinfecting, and infection control
- Must be self-motivated, possessing organization and time-management skills in order to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Must have good oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
- Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift, Flexible Scheduling; approx. thirty-two (32) hours/wk
Wage Range*: $15.00/hr-$16.50/hr, Negotiable (DOE)
Years of Experience Incentive Pay: $0.15/per year, up to ten (10) years
