Title: Aerospace Planning Supervisor
Reports to: Quality Manager
Location: Kent, WA - onsite
Type: Exempt, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift; ability to work occasionally during an off shift when needed
Role Overview
Supervise staff and responsibilities relating to the planning and certifications process within Hytek's Quality Management System as it pertains to AS9100, Nadcap, FAA Repair Station, and OEM approvals. Establishes and monitors Key Process Indicators (KPI's) to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.

Responsibilities
Ensure all planning and certification tasks and activities are performed in a timely and efficient, and effective manner. This includes:
Leader of non-exempt employees within the planning and certification teams.
Develop and revise QMS procedures, SOP's, and other work instructions that support the planning and certifications tasks and activities.
Will be relied upon as a subject matter expert for the Planning and Certification processes during ERP upgrade project scheduled for FY24.
Conduct performance reviews and performance planning for employees.
Establish training plans for employees which includes cross-training between the two teams.
Support onboarding of new business through the New Product Integration (NPI) process.
Able to jump in as necessary to provide hands-on backup to the planning and certification tasks and activities during periods of high demand or
Able to personally plan or cert jobs to help the team overcome sudden spikes in incoming work.
Ensure proper contract review (terms & conditions, specification revisions, etc.) is performed on all incoming customer purchase orders.
Work with Customer Service and Value Stream Managers to ensure process lead times and expedites are kept up to date.
Support non-conformance tags and corrective action requests as it pertains to the areas.
Develop, maintain, administer, and/or support any quality related training within the business.
Qualifications
Demonstrates an understanding of processing and product quality.
Ability to understand and utilize problem solving tools (5 Why's, Fishbone, 8D).
Strong computer skills using MS Office products. ERP system experience desired, Syteline experience preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility for non-US persons.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Quality-related certification preferred and 3-5+ years of relevant work experience desired; aerospace manufacturing or finishing experience preferred.
Successful experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or the aerospace industry preferred.
Knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace Standard.
Aerospace finishing specifications and experience with Infor SyteLine is a plus.
Essential Mental/Physical Demands
Extensive use of hands in writing, use of computer and other office equipment. Sitting for long periods of time in an office environment. Ability to travel on airplanes or in vehicles for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Within the production environment, you may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and fumes from metal finishing chemicals. Temperatures in the production environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions.

Salary Range for position: $78,000 - $97,000
