Job Description:
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Buyer to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining the light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together.
Responsible for supporting company-wide purchasing initiatives through strategic sourcing with the guidance of the Procurement Manager. Ensures products and services are ordered at the lowest possible cost, without jeopardizing quality of care. Responsible for ensuring continued vendor improvement and maximizing purchasing power throughout the organization.
This is a fulltime position 40 hours a week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(45%) Vendor and Product Negotiations
Facilitates contract negotiations
Solicits bids, and follows up with suppliers to ensure they are meeting our company needs
Assist department management on the RFP process and bid solicitation
Ensures that products/services are contracted at the lowest possible cost while fostering customer service as a priority
Maintain positive relationships with vendors

(30%) Purchasing Strategy & Analysis
Execute on purchasing products that support the Procurement Department initiatives
Proposes recommendations related to sourcing and development of new suppliers and technologies
Procure new product samples from vendors and work with CDI clinicians to vet and test new products for proper implementation
Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure sourcing success

(20%) Purchasing Support
Places orders and follows up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products/services
Manages new Center set ups, ensuring account set up and timely deliveries of supplies
Acts as point of contact for field-related purchasing questions
Assist markets with non-contract purchases
Coordinates payment of Procurement Department invoices

(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assigned

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:
Knowledge of health care market and group purchasing activities
Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols
Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations of procurement function
Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion
Skill in written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to constant change

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience
Excellent computer and technical skills, especially Excel, and proficiency using various software systems
Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance
Preferred:
Health care knowledge and experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Requires the use of office equipment, such as computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers
Requires sitting and talking on the telephone for extended periods of time
Requires the ability to see, hear, speak, write and key
Requires the ability to travel
