Job Description:
Blaze Credit Union is seeking a creative, organized, enthusiastic individual looking to join the Blaze Marketing team as a Marketing Intern! The Marketing Intern will be responsible for promoting Blaze at various community events, including but not limited to parades, golf outings, festivals, and St. Paul Saints games. They will also be responsible for assisting in various marketing efforts, including event planning, social media planning, care package distribution, promotional product inventory management, and administrative support.
This position pays $20/hour.
Must be available to work 25-30 hours per week during the summer. Must be able to work onsite at the Blaze Credit Union's administrative office, as well as travel to different events throughout the communities Blaze serves.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Marketing Intern you will:
Assist in event planning by setting up, distributing promotional materials, taking photos/videos, and providing feedback post-event
Assist with packing and distributing care packages
Assist with social media campaign ideas and curating content
Assist with promotional product inventory and selection
Assist with inventory management of storerooms
Provide administrative support to the marketing department as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Enrolled in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a similar undergraduate field of study. Knowledgeable in social media trends and Microsoft Office applications. Engaging conversational skills are desired. Work involves being a Blaze ambassador by interacting closely with members, potential new members, and individuals both inside and outside of the credit union.
Must be able to walk and stand for several hours at a time, lift up to 30 pounds, bend, with the ability to work outside in rain, cold or heat.
Opportunities to wear mascot costume - must be able to safely handle the weight of the costume and its confines.
