About The Role:

TheSr. Sourcing Specialistsupports all Boston Scientific manufacturing sites and divisions in developing and executing category and sourcing strategies for silicone injection molded parts to meet and exceed product quality, while achieving service and cost improvement targets. The incumbent will lead a global category team of cross-functional partners in Supplier Quality, Supplier Engineering and Materials Management to achieve objectives and collaborate with divisional stakeholders to align on optimal sourcing strategies for existing business and New Product Development. This role will foster an environment of continuous improvement that supports Boston Scientific's quality policy, quality system, and applicable regulations.



Your responsibilities will include:
Establishing category strategies that result in a sustainable competitive advantage
Managing supplier relationships to align with company and category expectations; facilitate supplier negotiations, business reviews and on-site assessments
Negotiating and executing contracts that deliver the best outcomes for Boston Scientific
Driving sustained value improvement related to quality, service, and cost
Defining technology roadmaps to align with long-term product and patient needs
Collaborating with supplier engineering teams to build a pipeline of Value Improvement Projects
Gathering and analyzing market intelligence to identify and report on supplier capabilities and trends; work with stakeholders to mitigate risks
Providing supplier selection recommendations to align with category strategies for new products
Driving supplier engagement with R&D to achieve development objectives, timelines and reduce costs
Leading and supporting business process improvement projects; provide support to site materials teams as needed
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or a related field
Minimum 3yrs experience with strategic sourcing, supply chain management or supplier relationship management
Experience with MS Office Excel and other applications (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, MS Project etc.)
Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree or professional certification (i.e. CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
Experience working in medical device or similar regulated industry
Experience sourcing for silicone resins and/or injection molded components
Working knowledge of SAP and ERP systems
Strong decision-making and negotiation skills, ability to influence internal and external teams
Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively with individuals on all levels
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills: process and results-oriented
