JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Designs and/or improves products
considering manufacturability, quality and cost with a thorough
understanding of design tools and methods. Reviews and approves work
done by associate and design engineers. Optimizes products considering
manufacturability, quality and cost with a thorough understanding of
analysis methods. Reviews and approves analysis done by peers. Solves
problems with a thorough understanding of tradeoffs in problem solving
to drive optimized designs. Design or apply test protocols for different
product applications, environments and ingress protection. GD&T, FMEA,
material selection, finishes, diecasting, sand and investment casting,
injection molding, machining, stamping and other process selection
experience. Conduct and contribute to project management
responsibilities and Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) practices.
Perform some setup, troubleshooting, product performance and capability
tests for mechanical and electromechanical devices as part of the
learning and development process. Familiarity with UL, CSA, NEMA, ASME
and other international regulatory bodies and agency design standards.
Experience with Mil-Spec standards is desirable. FEA and robust
correlation experiences are desirable. PPAP, supplier development and
qualification experiences are desirable. Manage multiple projects at the
same time and stay on track for required dates. Contributes to other
teams and projects as subject matter expert Leads more complex projects,
analyzes and designs new products and systems, and improves existing
products. Leads in capturing voice of customer and development of
product specifications. Translates customer needs to manufacturing
requirements. Creates test plans and develops new test protocol for
products or components, with a solid understanding of reliability and
failure mechanisms. Leads and represents teams within and outside the
organization, cross functionally and to senior leadership. Strong
customer facing skills or potential. Always promote a safe working
environment by following established and required safety policies and
practices Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering
with emphasis in materials or electromechanical field; advanced
technical degree preferred. 7+ years of relevant industry experience
(mechanical/technical projects leadership, new product launch,
manufacturing/quality engineering). Strong User of Microsoft Office
applications (Word, Excel), CAD software (SolidWorks), PDM systems and
ERP system such as SAP. Experience with introducing new products and
significant changes to production - Meeting design, cost, and timing
