Job Description

FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONS ASSISTANT 2 , Technical Leadership and Communication Programs (TLC), to provide complex and diverse financial and administrative support for the TLC and the director of administration and finance.  Will review, process, verify, reconcile, and track financial transactions; produce reports and projections; work with accounts payable and receivable; handle operations support and provide varied administrative support for multiple programs and projects, including staff onboarding and planning selected events; assist with select human resources transactions; and participate as a team member in achieving TLC’s vision and goals.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of accounting, finance, administrative, or related experience; excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office software and setting up Zoom meetings; experience with travel, procurement, and financial processes; excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy; good judgment and discretion with confidential material; proactive approach to foreseeing and resolving conflicts; and willingness to take on new projects and learn new skills as needed.  Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; take initiative to implement/improve established financial processes; demonstrate a flexible approach to the workload; prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment despite frequent interruptions; follow through on responsibilities; and work with a diverse group of people. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree; Google Workspace, SAP, Airtable, Salesforce, Cognos, and MIT accounting and finance experience; and relational database skills.  Job #24008-5

This is a hybrid position that includes being on campus at least three days per week. Weekly schedule to be determined.
