JCB is a Long Island based environmental consulting & testing firm and is offering summer jobs. Field Technician - Summer Seasonal Throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties Sites near you Seasonal Summer positions performing Environmental Consulting & Testing Services during various construction and environmental remediation projects are available. Daily tasks may include collecting appropriate environmental samples or utilizing field equipment to verify remediation/abatement contractor's compliance with regulations and specifications. Effective communication between on-site project staff and office staff, ability to neatly complete project forms and ability to work independently a must. The work shift is arranged around the contractor/customer schedule and varies project to project. Work shifts are often range from 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, with additional overtime hours daily. A general open availability and flexibility ensures greater success. The main work schedule begins June 10 and runs generally through Labor Day. However, certification classes necessary to participate in the program and training is provided in-house and scheduled in late May and early June. Following are a few initial Qualifications that will help determine if the internship is right for you. * Must be over 18 * Must have your own car and be willing to drive throughout Nassau and/or Suffolk County * Must have a NYS Drivers License or obtain a NYS Non-Driver ID for State Certification Purposes * Must be available to work flexible shifts (7 days a week 24 hours a day) *Must reside within Nassau or Suffolk Counties (or extremely close by) for the duration of the Summer Months described above Job Locations are throughout Nassau/Suffolk Long Island. Many past techs positions are available and successful candidates are often offered part-time or full-time positions upon completion of season.
