 Position Summary:

 The Director of Technology leads our K-12 public school district in the effective integration, support, and alignment of technology to enhance teaching, learning, and administrative processes. The Director of Technology will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic plans for technology implementation, ensuring efficient technology support and services, and aligning technology initiatives with the overall district strategic plan.

 Responsibilities:

 Technology Implementation Oversight:

 Develop and implement a comprehensive technology implementation strategy that aligns with the district's educational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and stakeholders to identify technology needs and prioritize initiatives.
Ensure that technology solutions are selected, deployed, and utilized effectively to support student learning and administrative functions.
Stay abreast of emerging educational technologies and innovative solutions to inform decision-making.
 Technology Support and Services Management:

 Lead the technology support team in providing timely and effective technical assistance to staff, students, and administrators.
Establish and maintain efficient processes for troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and technology repair/replacement.
Oversee the management of technology assets, including hardware, software, and licensing agreements.
Develop and implement professional development programs to enhance staff's technology proficiency.
 Technology Alignment to Strategic Plan:

 Collaborate with district leadership to understand the strategic goals and vision of the district.
Develop a technology roadmap that aligns with the district's strategic plan and educational objectives.
Monitor and assess the progress of technology initiatives and report regularly to the district leadership and school board.
Seek opportunities for technology integration and innovation that support the district's overall goals.
 Budgeting and Resource Management:

 Develop and manage the technology department budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost-effectiveness.
Identify grant opportunities and seek additional funding sources to support technology initiatives.
Negotiate and manage contracts with technology vendors and service providers.
 Data Security and Privacy:

 Establish and enforce data security and privacy protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to data privacy and student information.
 Qualifications:

 A Bachelor's degree in Educational Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with relevant experience.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles in an educational setting, preferably in K-12 public schools.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience
 OR

 Associates degree  in computer science, information systems, or a related field
CETL Certification
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in information systems management, network administration, and information security, preferably in an educational or public sector environment.
Minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience
 AND

 Demonstrated expertise in educational technology integration and emerging technologies.
Strong understanding of instructional technology trends, best practices, and research.
Proven experience in managing technology projects, budgets, and resources.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of educational standards, curriculum development, and assessment practices in K-12 education.
 Preferred Qualification:

 Masters Degree
CETL Certification
Administrative License

Salary:  View salary grids on Pages 3 - 4, Section 1. of the Directors and Confidential Managers agreement
The salary range for this position is $129,157 - $150,147
This position is not currently in the contract as it is new and will be added into the next contract.
