Industrial Electrician - Cincinnati, OH:

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.

Shift hours:

8-hour shifts, 7 days a week

Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts
1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm
2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm
3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am
Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

Pay:

$34.83 after 6 months
$32.14 per hour starting
Additional $.35 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift
Additional $.41 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift
Overtime Pay

Time worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay
Time worked over 40 hours in a work week is 1.5 times regular rate of pay
Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay
Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay
Holiday pay (if eligible for holiday pay and holiday is worked, 2x double pay + holiday pay)

RESPONDING to support calls to help resolve equipment downtime issues
WORKING proactively on finding equipment defects that are developing and performing preventative maintenance to keep equipment functioning properly
HELPING optimize equipment PM's and spare parts stocking strategies

INTERACTING with operators to understand equipment issues and teaching them how to better interact with the equipment
CHALLENGING yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT the first time and GAIN knowledge to enhance your skill set

What your responsibilities will look like:

Working safely while resolving equipment issues
Troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment and control systems
Design and layout of circuits, installing fixtures, wiring motors and other electrical equipment/components
Troubleshooting various electrical equipment (AC/DC drives, motors and controls) using standard test equipment
Maintaining and updating electrical documentation (redlines, print books, manuals)
Identifying mechanical issues
Providing technical support for equipment troubleshooting and equipment modifications
Participating in Root Cause Analysis to help prevent recurrence of equipment failures
Performing both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase equipment performance
Assist in training new employees

What you have to offer:

Minimum of a high school education or GED
2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment is required
3-5 years of related industrial electrical experience
Knowledge of the ControlLogix PLCs
Ability keep yourself and others safe around 480VAC
Variable Frequency Drives and how they are used in a control system
Ability to install conduit, wiring, and electrical components
Ability to build and install an electrical cabinet and associate components
Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics
Must possess the ability to use various electrical test equipment for troubleshooting purposes
Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
Need to be able to work in a tobacco-free environment
