Process Engineer
JOB SUMMARY :
The Finite Scheduler is responsible for generating the Finite Schedule in agreement with Operations, based on available capacity and materials, in line with our agreed upon S&OP volume ensuring Customer requirements are fulfilled.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Develop a Finite Schedule within the week:
- Sequence production to improve operating efficiency and plant utilization, reducing areas of material wastage, cleaning and sanitation and/or line inefficiency.
- Scheduling of detailed daily, and weekly production in conjunction with planning and operating areas, resources management (associates, manufacturing resources, ingredients etc..).
- Developing daily sheet for tracking.
- Include team training and meetings, engineering projects on a daily plan
- Create and release Process orders daily in conjunction with
- Master Schedulers
- Ingredient release availability
- Production Resource availability
- Validate daily labor availability with Operations
- Management of WIP, remnants, and rework.
– Follow up with the Production manager, production operators, Master Schedulers, Vendor Schedulers, Lab, QA regarding any orders that need expediting or rescheduling.
– Metrics:
- Ensure Production to schedule (PTS) stability in the weekly plan
– Procedures:
- Writing of SOP’s, SWI’s, Scheduling Guidelines and Competencies for Finite Scheduling.
– Maintenance of Planning System / tools / processes:
- Support the analysis, development and implementation of new planning system / process, if required.
- Drive and replicate supply chain operational excellence and best practices.
– Supporting in developing a Checklist to perform quality checks on the liquid/dry parts process.
– Executing minor capital projects.
– Working on productivity initiatives to increase productivity and achieve OE targets
– Working with global teams in initiatives in productivity projects/initiatives
Optimization and Ingredients pack size optimization
– Comply with Company Requirements; policies, regulations, and International Standards.
RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience 0-2 Years in multinational organization’s supply chain management, preference given to candidates with manufacturing background.
- Demonstrated ability to develop production plans, taking into consideration the company’s objectives, business rules, and current challenges/constraints.
- Quality systems experience would be considered an advantage.
- Food/ beverage processing or pharmaceutical manufacturing SC experience.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience is prefered.
- SAP experience would be considered as an advantage
