Summary

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food in various sections of the kitchen.
  • Ensure ingredients are prepped and ready for use, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization..
  • Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs to ensure dishes are prepared according to the restaurant’s standards.
  • Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes.
  • Help maintain proper stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring the kitchen is clean and safe at all times.
  • Support senior chefs in setting up and closing down the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a similar role (internship or entry-level) in luxury hotel or restaurant.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing cooking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for food and a desire to build a career in the culinary industry.
