Summary
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food in various sections of the kitchen.
- Ensure ingredients are prepped and ready for use, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization..
- Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs to ensure dishes are prepared according to the restaurant’s standards.
- Assist in the plating and presentation of dishes.
- Help maintain proper stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring the kitchen is clean and safe at all times.
- Support senior chefs in setting up and closing down the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience, preferably in a similar role (internship or entry-level) in luxury hotel or restaurant.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen interest in learning and developing cooking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for food and a desire to build a career in the culinary industry.
